Swordspark 1.2 Update: Introducing Hard Mode and New Gratitude Music Tracks

SHIFT UP has officially released the 1.2.0 update for Swordspark, bringing a host of new content, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes. To thank players for their support, the development team has introduced seven new music tracks based on the game’s original soundtrack.

Players can claim the “Gift of Thanks from Enya” at Xion’s “Last Drink” location, featuring the following seven tracks:

  • Don’t Forget Me (Trio Version)
  • Flooded Commercial Sector (Trio Version)
  • Clock Tower (Trio Version)
  • White Night (Trio Version)
  • Wasteland – Reboot (Trio Version)
  • Oasis (Trio Version)
  • Don’t Forget Me (Revamped Version)

Gameplay Enhancements:

  • Steam Points Store now offers exclusive Swordspark-themed items such as badges, trading cards, static and animated profile backgrounds, and stickers.
  • A new Hard Mode is now selectable at the start of the game and has been added to the Boss Challenge mode.
  • Save system improvements include clear on-screen notifications for save failures and a new save file recovery feature accessible from the game’s startup screen to restore the latest backup if corruption is detected.
  • VRAM display in the graphics settings menu has been enhanced to show both current usage and expected maximum usage, helping players optimize their settings.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue in the quest “Where Is The Fantastic Bait?” where underwater crate bait sometimes could not be picked up.
  • Resolved a problem in photo mode where the rotate logo key was unresponsive on AZERTY keyboard layouts.
  • Addressed a bug in the Nikki collaboration mini-game where EVE’s gun model would occasionally disappear after using burst skills on certain PC configurations.

Boss Battle Fixes:

  • Corrected camera angle issues during the “Demon Goron” fight that sometimes prevented proper aiming.
  • Fixed character animation and camera glitches triggered by QTE events during the Scarlet battle.

Interface Updates:

  • Fixed an issue where the artbook entry would not appear on the title screen after the first game completion.

Costume Updates:

  • Players who obtained the “Planet Stealth Suit (Second Version)” via PlayStation Network can now purchase the “Blueprint: Planet Stealth Suit (Second Version) V2” from Roxanne’s shop in New Game+.
  • Fixed an issue in Boss Challenge mode where wearing the “Planet Stealth Suit (Sixth Version) V3” would incorrectly switch to the “Close Combat Suit.”

Stability Improvements:

  • Fixed a crash issue that could occur when entering photo mode.

Additional fixes have been implemented to further enhance overall game stability and player experience.
