On June 26, 2025, Hooded Horse proudly announced that the acclaimed and award-winning dark fantasy roguelike city-building game “Against the Storm” is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
New governors can now experience this popular city-building game and attempt to rebuild civilization amidst apocalyptic storms. Players lead diverse races including humans, beavers, lizards, foxes, and harpy-like bird creatures to reclaim the wilderness and secure a future for the last survivors of civilization. The game interface has been fully optimized for console platforms, ensuring a smooth experience for newcomers as they fulfill their duties to the Withered Queen.
The frog-themed first expansion pack, “Against the Storm – Stone Guardians,” also launched today on consoles. It introduces new species, two new biomes, and a variety of new buildings, commands, risks, and opportunities. This expansion is part of the full version of “Against the Storm” exclusive to console platforms.
“Against the Storm” has been localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Japanese.
