Bandai Namco has officially announced the release date for Little Nightmares 3, set to launch on October 10. To excite fans ahead of the release, those who pre-order the digital version of Little Nightmares 3 will gain early access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, allowing them to revisit the original game before the new installment arrives.
In addition to the game, Bandai Namco is expanding the Little Nightmares universe with several new projects. A new season of the Little Nightmares-themed podcast series, The Sounds of Nightmares, will debut soon. October will also see the release of a comic book titled Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere, published by Titan Comics. This comic follows two parallel stories featuring Hush, a mute girl trapped in a jail cell, and Mono, a prisoner familiar with the dark dungeon they must escape.
Before the comic’s release, a young adult novel called Little Nightmares: The Lonely Ones, written by E.C. Myers and published by Scholastic, will be available in September. The story centers on Ruse, a child who wakes up in a strange, shaking room with two other mysterious children.
Bandai Namco also teased a stop-motion project developed with Taller del Chucho studio, with more details to be revealed later.
Little Nightmares 3, developed by Supermassive Games, will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and last-gen consoles including Nintendo Switch. While pre-orders are open for all platforms except Switch, which will be available later, several editions are offered:
- Standard Edition: Base game
- Digital Deluxe Edition: Base game, Secrets of The Spiral Expansion Pass, and Residents Costumes Pack
- Collector Mirror Edition: Includes Deluxe content plus a figurine, metal case, physical artbook, digital and physical soundtrack, and stickers
- Premium Collector Spiral Edition: Exclusive to Bandai Namco Store, featuring the Collector Mirror Edition figurine with a music box base, a Nome controller/phone holder, and a double-sided coin of Low and Alone
All pre-orders come with the Dark Six Costumes Set and early access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. The Secrets of The Spiral Expansion Pass will add at least two new chapters to explore.
Additionally, a new VR adventure titled Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes from Iconik Studios was revealed, promising a fresh experience in the eerie world of Little Nightmares.
The previous installment, Little Nightmares 2, was praised for its dark, atmospheric storytelling and gameplay, though some felt it missed opportunities to innovate in puzzle-solving and stealth mechanics.
This announcement marks an exciting expansion of the Little Nightmares franchise, offering fans multiple ways to engage with its haunting world.
