Rumors about a remastered edition of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag have been circulating for quite some time. Recently, leaks suggested that this title is among the new Assassin’s Creed projects planned for the next six years.
A Twitter user, @TheRealZephryss, pointed out that the original Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has been receiving almost weekly updates on Steam since last month. On June 21, the game’s backend saw frequent adjustments related to its trailer videos. This has led to speculation that Ubisoft might be preparing to officially announce the remastered version soon. However, these updates could also be routine and unrelated to the remaster.
Previous leaks revealed that the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is being rebuilt using an upgraded Anvil engine. The remaster aims not only to enhance the game’s visuals but also to significantly optimize gameplay mechanics and core elements of the original. The development team intends to modernize the combat system and further improve the groundbreaking naval ecosystem introduced in the original, bringing it up to next-generation AAA standards.
