Resident Evil Survival Unit Announced as New Mobile Strategy Game
On July 4, 2025, Capcom officially revealed Resident Evil Survival Unit, a new mobile strategy game expanding the Resident Evil franchise. The announcement was made during Summer Game Fest 2025, streamed globally, marking Capcom’s continued push into mobile gaming markets.
Resident Evil Survival Unit is set to launch later this summer on iOS and Android platforms. The game combines tactical squad management with classic Resident Evil horror elements, tasking players with assembling and commanding a team of survivors to combat bio-organic threats. According to Capcom’s official statement, the game features real-time strategy mechanics, base-building elements, and cooperative multiplayer modes.
This mobile spin-off complements the recently announced Resident Evil Requiem, a mainline title scheduled for release in late 2025. Capcom aims to broaden the franchise’s reach by offering diverse gameplay experiences across platforms.
