This 4K Blu-ray steelbook set marks the first time the entire series, except the recently remastered first film, is upgraded to ultra-high definition. The package includes all seven movies housed in a uniquely designed steelbook, complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity and 3D glasses, likely for the last 3D-shot film, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare. Although bonus features are yet to be confirmed, it is expected to include extensive extras from previous Blu-ray releases.
Since its debut in the 1980s, Nightmare on Elm Street has earned a legendary status in horror cinema. Freddy Krueger, portrayed by Robert Englund, is a relentless killer who attacks victims in their dreams, making him one of the most memorable horror icons alongside Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Michael Myers from Halloween.
