Monster Hunter Rise PC Update to Introduce DLSS 4 and FSR 4 Support

Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World, launched on PC in August 2018, is set to receive a significant performance boost with the introduction of NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 and AMD’s FSR 4 technologies. These advanced upscaling features aim to enhance frame rates and visual quality, providing a smoother and more immersive gaming experience.

DLSS 4, NVIDIA’s latest AI-driven upscaling technology, improves image quality while increasing performance by rendering fewer pixels and reconstructing high-fidelity visuals. Similarly, AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 offers an alternative upscaling solution for AMD GPU users, ensuring broader compatibility.

The update will also introduce a Multi Frame Generation feature that dynamically toggles frame generation based on system load, optimizing performance without user intervention. Players will have the flexibility to combine DLSS and FSR options, such as using NVIDIA DLSS for upscaling alongside AMD FSR for frame generation, tailoring the experience to their hardware.

Additional PC-specific enhancements include warnings for outdated GPU drivers, customizable keyboard configurations, and convenient options to copy lobby, hunter, and squad IDs directly from the game menus.

While the update focuses on new features and usability improvements, it does not explicitly mention performance optimizations beyond reduced VRAM usage. Therefore, many players may still rely on frame generation technologies to achieve optimal performance.

This free update is scheduled for release on June 30, 2025, with further content updates planned for September. Monster Hunter: World remains available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S platforms.
