Hideo Kojima, the legendary game creator, has personally added all the Easter eggs and small jokes in Death Stranding 2. In an interview with GameSpark after the game’s release, Kojima revealed that even when he asked his studio staff to include some Easter eggs, they could only respond with “Huh?” and pretend not to know what he wanted to do.
Sony PlayStation officially released interview videos featuring actors Troy Baker and Shiori Kutsuna. Additionally, foreign bloggers have unboxed Kojima’s signed Death Stranding 2 collector’s edition.
YouTube blogger @Kakuchopurei shared gameplay footage of the character Usada Pekora in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, warning players who want to avoid spoilers to be cautious.
Foreign media @denfaminicogame shared a video showing the protagonist Sam carrying a child.
PlayStation recently released a short promotional video for Death Stranding 2, which is set to launch on June 26, just five days away from today. The PS official channel also released a countdown clip titled “5 days left to connect with BB!”
The game demo revealed parts of the opening prologue and combat scenes, including battle cutscenes.
To prevent spoilers for standard edition players, Kojima Productions issued a live streaming and content sharing guide during the early access period, allowing players to share videos and screenshots only up to the end of Chapter 7.
Media reviews have been fully unlocked, with an average score of 93 from 34 outlets. Gamespot gave the game a 7, noting that the game’s message is not precise or clear but encourages players to think about many things and provoke different thoughts.
In a previous trailer, a soldier character named “Neil,” resembling Metal Gear’s Snake, appeared. Kojima recently spoke about this character at the Sydney Film Festival, recalling that not only players but also the actor Luca Marinelli thought he was playing Snake.
Composer Yoann ‘Woodkid’ Lemoine revealed in a Rolling Stone interview that Kojima has been actively modifying the game after testing because “players love it too much.”
