Terraria is set to make its mark in the world of Palworld through a significant update scheduled for release on June 25. This update will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, as announced by the developer Pocketpair.
The update promises a variety of new content, including fresh islands and pals inspired by Terraria. While specific details have not been disclosed yet, Pocketpair plans to reveal each new feature gradually over the coming week via their social media platforms.
Players will have the opportunity to catch, train, battle, and utilize monsters from Terraria just like any other creatures native to Palworld. Currently, Palworld is available at a 25% discount on both Steam and the PlayStation Store.
Since its launch in early 2024, Palworld has not featured any other crossover events. Partnering with Terraria, a highly popular sandbox adventure game that debuted in 2011 and still maintains a strong player base of over 30,000 concurrent users on Steam, is a notable collaboration for Pocketpair.
However, Palworld is also navigating legal challenges, including a lawsuit filed by Nintendo over alleged patent infringements related to gameplay mechanics. In response, Palworld has implemented several changes, such as removing the ability to summon creatures by throwing Pal Spheres. Further gameplay and artistic adjustments are anticipated as the legal process unfolds.
