NetEase has officially revealed its new cosmic life simulation game, “Starry Friends Sunny Day,” on June 13. As a special gesture, every player receives a star. The game has already sparked interactions and comments from official accounts of NetEase’s other popular titles like “Justice Online,” “Naraka: Bladepoint,” and “Ghost Story.”
In “Starry Friends Sunny Day,” players can enjoy two gameplay modes: “simulation management” and “mini party.” Each player owns a star in the vast universe, tasked with developing it from a barren state to a thriving one. The galaxy also hosts joyful parties that can start anytime.
Beyond the in-game star gifted with a simple click, the game also offers players a real star named TYC4432-252-1, symbolizing all players as “star friends.” No matter where players are, they can look up and find a star and happiness belonging to everyone.
The game’s core philosophy is “The sky is vast, the earth is vast, happiness is the greatest!” It aims to be a game that brings joy:
✦ Planet Building ✦ Each player receives a six-sided cubic star with unique initial terrain. Players can cultivate land, plant crops, raise livestock, fish, mine mysterious ores and relics, and develop alien technology to build their own happy planet.
✦ Joyful Parties ✦ With over 120 multiplayer mini-games ranging from racing, jumping, puzzles, to 2D, cooperative, and competitive modes, players can make friends across the universe and enjoy fun parties. Participating in parties also yields generous rewards that help with planet management.
✦ Stress-Free Socializing ✦ Besides partying with friends, players’ planets will host over 40 residents from diverse cosmic backgrounds. Chat with them, hear fascinating stories, and become close companions. They will also open shops and welcome cosmic tourists, making the planet more prosperous.
✦ Zero-Barrier Editor ✦ The game provides a simple yet powerful game design editor, allowing players to create their own mini-games and parties for the entire universe to experience. “Starry Friends Sunny Day” supports multi-platform play (PC & mobile) with account cross-play and will undergo testing within 2025.
