After nearly a year in early access, the indie game “Yaozhixiang,” developed by Leika Game Studio, is officially launching its 1.0 version on June 19, 2025. Alongside the full release, a free DLC featuring a brand-new mode will be available. The game is priced at 58 yuan, with a limited-time 20% discount during the first three weeks post-launch, making it available for just 46.4 yuan.
In the world of “Yaozhixiang,” diverse mystical creatures known as Yaoling inhabit the ancient continent, serving as important friends and companions to humans. However, a dark shadow of evil demons looms, corrupting many Yaoling with crimson eyes and wings shrouded in black mist. You can hear their souls’ desperate cries for help. As a novice Yaoling master, you will encounter a rich variety of Yaoling partners and journey across the land together.
Players can team up with Yaoling to challenge sects across the region, repel demon commanders, seek out reclusive craftsmen, uncover buried histories, and discover the truth behind the Yaoling’s corruption. Alternatively, players can enjoy the scenic landscapes, fish leisurely by lakes, document more Yaoling in their notes, and explore various Yaoling team combinations. “Yaozhixiang” offers the freedom to play in any style you prefer.
Throughout its early access phase, “Yaozhixiang” underwent multiple content updates, adding comprehensive main and side quests, new maps, new Yaoling and mount systems, Yaoling accessories and personalized growth systems, competitive battle tournaments, and an independent roguelike mode called “Guardianship Battle.” With the official release, the game will receive a significant content expansion.
The full version includes a new main storyline and previously locked areas, additional Yaoling, costumes, more collectible elements, and a customizable home system. Players can freely decorate their island, unlock built-in mini-games, and create a unique village life. A pixel art mode free DLC will also launch simultaneously. Beyond the core collection and roguelike challenges, players will experience a complete story-driven turn-based retro adventure game that blends light nurturing and Yaoling interaction mechanics, immersing them in a harsh yet authentic ancient Yaoling world.
